We are currently seeking a Senior Staff Electrical Engineer, Vehicle Architecture to spearhead the development of advanced electronic systems for our micromobility platforms.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Lead the electrical architecture design for our micromobility platforms, focusing on power distribution, energy storage, computing, sensors, lighting, safety systems, and connectivity modules.
Create and define vehicle block diagrams, interfaces, and design standards that promote modularity and facilitate reuse across different vehicle lines.
Analyze performance, cost, reliability, and regulatory compliance trade-offs to optimize system design.
Provide strategic technical direction to systems, electrical, firmware, and cable harness engineering teams.
Champion design for manufacturability, reliability, serviceability, and safety from initial concept through to production.
Conduct design reviews and ensure adherence to architectural standards throughout the product lifecycle.
Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing engineers to seamlessly integrate electrical systems into our vehicle platforms.
Engage with suppliers and technology partners to assess and qualify new components and subsystems.
Work closely with product management to align architectural strategies with business objectives and market trends.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies in batteries, connectivity, sensors, and multimedia systems to inform our future product roadmaps.
Benchmark competitor products and drive ongoing enhancements in efficiency, safety, and overall user experience.
Provide regular updates on program status during team meetings and to leadership.
