Centreon’s Research and Development team in Paris is hiring a Backend Developer with a strong background in Perl. This position centers on designing, improving, and maintaining the software behind Centreon Infra Monitoring. The primary focus is developing and updating connectors, programs that allow monitoring across a wide range of systems. Each connector includes configuration templates to help users supervise their infrastructure more effectively.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain Perl-based connectors for Centreon Infra Monitoring
- Adapt to various technologies, working with both software and hardware systems
- Build connectors that integrate using REST APIs, non-REST APIs, SDKs, SNMP, and other protocols
- Address user-reported issues and deliver timely fixes
- Support the transition to new connectors developed in Rust
Requirements
- Strong experience with Perl, essential for current connector development
- Comfort working with APIs (REST and non-REST), SDKs, SNMP, and varied system integrations
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Interest in learning or working with Rust as the connector stack evolves
