Role Overview: Middle School History Teacher (Grades 6-8) Location: Philadelphia, PA School Year: 2026/2027 History teachers at Mastery help students use the past to understand the present and prepare for the future. The role includes access to comprehensive unit plans and teaching guides from the Central Office, plus leading curricula from TCI and the DBQ Project. The aim is to foster a genuine interest in history among middle school students. What You Will Teach Students in grades 7 through 12 explore topics such as Ancient World History, African American History, Modern World History, US History, and Government/Economics. Advanced Placement courses are available in Modern World History, US History, and Government/Economics. Support and Professional Growth Continuous Improvement is a core value, with structured support for teachers. Assistant Principals, central-office coaches, and school-based content teams provide regular coaching and feedback. Professional development and peer collaboration are built into the staff calendar.
