Reporters in this position are encouraged to pursue stories about the region’s diverse communities, including those within federally recognized tribes, and to scrutinize state government accountability, especially in Arizona and Utah. What you will do Investigate and report on significant issues affecting the Southwest, with an eye toward stories that can spark change and inform a national audience. Pitch and develop stories that address the challenges and interests of the region’s varied communities. Work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues and partner newsrooms. Requirements At least five years of experience producing investigative stories, ideally with a focus on the Southwest. Clear vision for reporting on the region and its communities.
