Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment, diagnosing and replacing faulty electronic components, understanding PLC logic, and assisting with electrical projects as needed. You will also support Maintenance Mechanics during repairs.Key Responsibilities:Quickly and accurately troubleshoot issues with press area equipment.Formulate a repair plan, communicate solutions to your supervisor, and implement them effectively.Collaborate with team members to ensure timely repairs.Minimize equipment downtime to ensure smooth production.Maintain a positive outlook towards changes and view them as opportunities for growth.Foster collaboration by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.Adhere to scheduled work hours and ensure coverage during absences.Work Schedule:This position operates on the Z Shift, from 5 PM to 5 AM, Friday through Sunday, at our Pontiac, MI facility.

The Pontiac, MI facility relies on skilled team members to support and improve automated production systems. Role overview The Automation Technician I maintains, repairs, and enhances both robotic and non-robotic automated systems. Daily tasks may involve resistance welding (steel and aluminum), projection welding, MIG welding, robotic dispensing of body sealants and adhesives, drawn arc stud welding, flow drilling, and working with various rivet assembly equipment. Main responsibilities Interpret and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder diagrams, and related technical documents. Diagnose and repair control systems using multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical testing tools. Troubleshoot electrical, robotic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Modify, create, and troubleshoot robotic programs as needed. Perform preventative maintenance and corrective actions, including problem-solving analysis and reporting. Adapt to changing priorities and use sound judgment in a manufacturing setting. Follow detailed written or verbal instructions accurately. Maintain clean and organized personal and shared work areas. Work schedule This is a 1st shift position, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, located at 2501 Centerpoint Parkway, Pontiac, MI 48341.
