Join Our Team as a 2nd Line Support Engineer!
We are seeking a skilled IT Engineer to become part of a dynamic team at a leading IT service provider located in the Thames Valley region.
This well-established company, a key player among the largest suppliers in the UK, boasts an excellent reputation and continues to expand year after year. The primary responsibility of this role will be to deliver exceptional first-line support across a range of technologies. You will aim to resolve issues promptly at the first point of contact, and where necessary, escalate to the appropriate technical resolver group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize your technical expertise to resolve tickets remotely.
- Ensure accurate logging and categorization of tickets within the service desk system.
- Manage tickets throughout the entire incident management process, ensuring resolutions are achieved within service level agreements and escalating issues when potential breaches arise.
- Keep customers informed on the progress of their tickets.
- Oversee the movements and availability of engineers centrally.
- Assist in the development and analysis of statistical data regarding incident management performance.
Essential Technical Skills:
- Basic support knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office toolsets
- Experience with Active Directory Administration, including password resets and account unlocking
- General troubleshooting capabilities
- Previous experience in a First-line Support environment
- Experience providing support via telephone and email
- Understanding of network environments, including routing, switching, VLANs, security, and wireless technologies

Salary: £22,000 - £28,000 per annum plus benefits.
