At Chime, we are redefining banking with a mission rooted in purpose rather than profit. We are on the lookout for a passionate Content Designer to join our dynamic Product Design team, contributing to consumer-facing product experiences that serve millions of members.
In this influential role within a compact yet powerful content design team, you will take ownership of content across the Spending, Savings, and Investing domains. You will collaborate with designers, product managers, researchers, engineers, and product marketers to simplify complex financial concepts, ensuring that our content significantly enhances the member experience.
The base salary for this position ranges from $170,000 to $235,000, commensurate with experience. Full-time employees are also eligible for bonuses, a competitive equity package, and comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary may exceed this range based on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In This Role, You Can Expect To
- Lead content design for specific product areas, enhancing clarity and quality across user experiences in Chime’s mobile applications and digital platforms.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to influence product strategy through impactful content from concept to launch and beyond.
- Create and polish clear, inclusive, and engaging content for product flows, feature messaging, system feedback, and microcopy.
- Use informed decision-making to shape content within your areas, contributing to naming conventions, taxonomy, and information hierarchy.
- Collaborate with Design and Brand partners to refine and evolve Chime’s product voice and tone.
- Leverage research insights, data, and experimentation to validate content decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Help scale content design at Chime by developing guidelines, documentation, and streamlined systems that ensure consistency and quality.
To Thrive in This Role, You Have
- Proven experience in designing content for consumer-focused digital products, with a solid grasp of UX principles and mobile-first best practices.
- A portfolio showcasing comprehensive ownership, user-centered writing, and an ability to work autonomously.
- Confidence in guiding content decisions in ambiguous contexts and influencing cross-functional teams through reasoned craft.
- A holistic perspective on user journeys while maintaining high standards for in-product copy.
- Experience in contributing to content systems, guidelines, or scalable patterns within a product environment.
