The role entails designing, prototyping, and assessing custom hardware solutions, managing manufacturing vendors, and overseeing design verification processes essential for the development of medical devices.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and prototype mechanical components and assemblies, utilizing rapid prototyping, machining, and injection molding techniques.Create detailed component and assembly drawings, including tolerance stack-ups and analyses.Identify and liaise with manufacturing vendors for component and assembly production.Conduct simulations and analyses (FEA, thermal, etc.) in collaboration with vendors to inform design choices.Develop custom electromechanical systems for testing and characterization of components and assemblies.Plan and implement design verification activities systematically.
