This position will be pivotal in shaping our sourcing and supplier strategies for high-speed interconnects, which include cables, connectors, backplane interfaces, and optical/electrical data interconnect solutions.In this role, you will lead the development and management of Etched’s global supply chain for essential interconnect technologies that directly influence system bandwidth, latency, signal integrity, and overall reliability. This strategic position demands collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Electrical Engineering, Systems, and Manufacturing, to deliver scalable, high-performance interconnect solutions as we accelerate our deployment efforts.Key ResponsibilitiesFormulate and implement sourcing strategies for high-speed interconnects, which encompass copper and optical cables, connectors, backplane systems, and high-bandwidth data links.Cultivate and maintain relationships with suppliers in the interconnect, cable assembly, and connector domains across various regions, ensuring performance, quality, and scalability.Negotiate pricing, capacity, tooling, and long-term supply agreements for critical interconnect components and assemblies.Collaborate closely with Electrical and Systems Engineering to determine connector specifications, cable design, signal integrity considerations, and supplier qualification protocols.Lead cost modeling, benchmarking, and should-cost analysis for interconnect components and assemblies across varying system architectures.Ensure that suppliers meet stringent performance metrics, including bandwidth, insertion loss, crosstalk, reliability, and mechanical constraints.Identify and mitigate supply risks associated with prolonged lead times, custom designs, sole sourcing, and regional concentration.Align sourcing strategies with New Product Introduction (NPI) builds, system validation cycles, and high-volume production demands.
