Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of microcontroller, sensing, and control board systems from the initial concept through prototyping to full-scale production for high-performance airborne power conversion and distribution products.
- Establish detailed electrical system requirements based on functional needs, then architect complete electrical systems to fulfill these requirements.
- Utilize Altium Designer for schematic capture and oversee detailed design layouts.
- Conduct simulations, prototypes, and engineering tests to validate design efficacy and performance.
- Develop processor and communication architectures, selecting appropriate microcontrollers for implementation.
- Create power supply, communication, sensing, and measurement electronic circuits.
- Collaborate with mechanical, systems, electrical, safety, and manufacturing engineers to enhance design for overall vehicle performance.
- Formulate and execute engineering validation plans to ensure compliance with all requirements.
- Document design analyses, including Worst Case Circuit Analyses (WCCA), Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and Component Safe Operating Area Margin Analysis.
