Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:Conduct in-depth thermal analysis of the airframe, accounting for external heating, solar radiation, internal heat sources, and insulation. Design and implement thermal management strategies for composite structures to alleviate thermal stress and maintain structural integrity. Develop and optimize cooling solutions for various aircraft systems, ensuring compliance with temperature limits and operational standards. Perform parametric studies and sensitivity analyses to enhance thermal designs of aircraft structures and systems. Create and utilize advanced CFD and FEA models for simulating complex thermal conditions and validating design assumptions. Assist in planning and executing test campaigns to gather data for thermal model validation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Aerodynamics, Airframe, Flight Control, Actuation, Avionics, Propulsion, Battery, and Manufacturing to develop integrated thermal solutions. Engage in design reviews and document analysis results, contributing to technical reports. Required Qualifications:Master's or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. A minimum of 5 years of experience in thermal analysis and design within the aerospace or automotive sectors. Solid understanding of heat transfer principles including conduction, convection, and radiation.
