We are committed to fostering an equitable and inclusive culture that recognizes and celebrates the unique contributions of each team member.Key Responsibilities:Design and analyze composite structures for prototype aircraft, encompassing both primary and secondary structures.Lead the development of critical structural airframe assemblies from initial design through to manufacturing and testing phases.Utilize an in-depth understanding of load paths, design best practices, and hand calculations to create robust structural configurations.Design composite layups, core configurations, and joint details that are optimized for both manufacturing and structural efficiency.Implement design for manufacturing principles to ensure cost-effective and easily fabricable designs for prototype aircraft, with preferred experience in composite sandwich construction and adhesive bonding techniques.Establish team standards for CAD models and drawings for both composite and metallic components.Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, including structural analysts, to refine designs and validate structural performance through comprehensive finite element analysis (FEA).Provide technical expertise on design concepts, balancing risk, cost, and performance considerations.Assist the testing team and manufacturing suppliers to ensure that designs meet established requirements and specifications.
