This role works with Clinical Skills Trainers and the Director of Clinical Skills & Practices to design and manage Clinical Skills and Practices (CSP) programs. This position handles cases ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies. Technicians work closely with veterinarians to provide high-quality, compassionate care and support to both pets and their owners, especially during stressful situations. The role offers opportunities to apply and expand clinical skills in a collaborative setting. What you will do Deliver nursing care and emotional support for patients and their caregivers throughout the emergency process, from triage to discharge. Administer medications and perform monitoring tasks, including IVs, constant rate infusions (CRIs), and blood transfusions, with accuracy and attention to detail. Participate in diagnostics, anesthesia, and critical care nursing as part of the emergency team. Work collaboratively with veterinarians and other team members, showing leadership in patient care planning. Perform CPR as a trained RECOVER professional; comprehensive CPR training is provided, and many team members are RECOVER certified. Requirements Current veterinary technician credentials required. Experience in emergency or critical care veterinary medicine is preferred. Strong teamwork, communication, and compassion for both animals and their families.
