Position Overview
In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the development and execution of our supply base strategy for essential nuclear hardware and production systems. Your expertise will be vital in optimizing our supplier ecosystem and ensuring efficient sourcing, qualification, and management at scale.
This position transcends traditional category management by requiring a comprehensive understanding of Oklo's Bill of Materials (BOM) at the component level. You will be tasked with formulating a proactive sourcing strategy that anticipates risks, supports scalability, and aligns with our financial and regulatory objectives.
As a Global Supply Manager, you will report directly to the Senior Director of Procurement & Supply Chain and collaborate closely with various departments, including Engineering, Finance, Quality, Manufacturing, and Program Leadership.
Work may be conducted from our Santa Clara, CA office or remotely within the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Base Architecture & Strategy
- Design and implement comprehensive supply base strategies for the sourced BOM, focusing on component-level cost, risk, capacity, and qualification requirements.
- Ensure all critical components have clear sourcing strategies that align with deployment timelines and scaling plans.
- Shift from reactive purchasing to a proactive, forward-looking sourcing approach.
- Identify and mitigate single-source risks, long-lead times, and potential supply bottlenecks before they impact project milestones.
Supplier Profiling & Governance
- Establish frameworks for supplier segmentation and profiling to evaluate technical capabilities, nuclear qualification status, capacity, and strategic importance.
- Define and communicate criteria for supplier classification across Engineering, Quality, and Operations.
- Maintain and oversee the Approved Supplier List (ASL), ensuring compliance with regulatory, quality, and performance standards.
- Drive supplier performance management initiatives, including scorecard assessments, corrective actions, and long-term relationship strategies.
Tax Credit & Domestic Content Strategy
- Align procurement strategies with relevant federal and state regulations.
