THE JOB
As a part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician, you will be an essential member of our emergency care team, responding to critical situations where every moment matters. In this role, you will manage a variety of cases, ranging from minor issues to complex emergencies, collaborating closely with our veterinary doctors to provide compassionate, high-quality care. Your responsibilities will include triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, all while offering reassurance and support to pet owners during their most challenging times. This position is ideal for someone eager to apply their training, expand their skill set, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Provide exceptional care to every patient and family member, ensuring they feel valued and supported throughout their experience.
- Act swiftly, delivering nursing care, treatments, and emotional support during critical moments, from triage through to discharge.
- Administer medications and provide comprehensive monitoring, including IVs, CRIs, and blood transfusions, among other responsibilities.
- Communicate effectively with your team and contribute to care planning, maintaining a seamless flow of assistance.
- Be prepared to perform CPR, showcasing your expertise as a trained RECOVER professional.
