Overview of the RoleJoin Clearway Energy Group as a Control Center Lead within our Real-Time Operations Team based in Scottsdale, AZ. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operation of our Reporting and Performance Monitoring Center (RPMC), which is responsible for monitoring and managing 10 GW of renewable energy facilities, including Wind, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). As the Control Center Lead, you will provide essential support to Operations Specialists during their shifts, ensuring seamless daily operations and effective management of our utility fleet. This position involves working 12.5-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure uninterrupted monitoring and operation of our facilities.Key ResponsibilitiesGuide and support on-shift Real-Time Operations Specialists in their daily roles and responsibilities.Oversee the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement processes related to real-time operational challenges and best practices.Proactively monitor real-time performance and operational status of all wind, solar, and BESS assets.Assist Operations Specialists in identifying and troubleshooting abnormal operations or alarm conditions that may occur during shifts.Conduct periodic reviews of operator logs to ensure accuracy and compliance.Execute acceptance testing on RPMC tools and applications utilized by Operations Specialists.Support commissioning activities for new projects.Facilitate the onboarding, training, and qualification processes for new operations specialists.Implement processes to ensure compliance with internal and quality controls for customers and field personnel.Assist in handling requests for information (RFIs), data requests, and other assigned tasks.Provide constructive feedback, mentorship, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.Enhance operational efficiency by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and sharing best practices.
