Role overview
The Forward Deployed Agent Builder role centers on creating AI agents that automate and enhance internal processes at Brex. This is a hands-on, technical position involving direct collaboration with teams across the company. The work requires understanding team workflows, designing and building solutions, and delivering practical results. Projects involve designing, developing, and deploying agents using existing models and frameworks, as well as integrating tools, MCPs, and internal systems into agent-driven workflows. The process is iterative and collaborative, with an emphasis on outcomes that matter to internal partners.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with partner teams to understand their workflows, including shadowing and participating in daily activities.
- Design, develop, and deploy AI agents to automate internal processes.
- Integrate tools, MCPs, and internal systems into agentic workflows.
- Iterate on solutions in partnership with the teams whose processes are being automated.
Work environment
This role is based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Brex operates a hybrid work model, with employees coordinating at least three in-office days per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Up to four weeks per year can be worked fully remote.
