Facilities Janitorial Associate – 2nd Shift Facilities Janitorial Associates play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our Walker, MI facility. This position helps ensure that both indoor and outdoor areas meet company standards for appearance and hygiene. Main Responsibilities Follow standard work procedures and daily checklists to complete assigned tasks and uphold quality standards. Clean and perform minor repairs on building fixtures, including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters, and drains. Sanitize and restock restrooms and locker rooms. Dust and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors as needed. Empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers. Use ladders for tasks requiring additional reach. Remove debris from outdoor areas and maintain assigned grounds. Care for landscaping along buildings and fence lines. Clean all interior windows. Sanitize lunchroom floors, furniture, and countertops. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Shift Details This is a second shift position, working Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM at 3079 Three Mile Road, Walker, MI 49534.

Senior Controls EngineerPosition Overview: As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, programming, commissioning, debugging, and deployment of advanced automation systems. This position not only allows you to work independently on multi-million-dollar projects but also gives you the opportunity to informally mentor junior engineers. You will take charge of electrical design, PLC/HMI/robot code, motion control solutions, and ensure safety compliance throughout the entire project lifecycle. This role reports directly to the Director of Engineering.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop PLC (ladder/structured text), HMI, simulations, and robot programs that achieve cycle-time, quality, and safety objectives.Manage multiple projects across various phases (design, build, debug, runoff) while ensuring clarity and responsiveness in your tasks.Lead specific project segments from conception to completion, maintaining task lists, adhering to budgets, and supporting on-site startup activities.Implement departmental coding/electrical standards and suggest incremental improvements for technical review.Guide Level 1-3 engineers during code reviews and debugging, mentor interns and co-ops on best practices, and conduct “lunch-and-learn” sessions as needed.Collaborate with Mechanical, Build, Electrical, and Project Management teams to align project scope and resolve integration challenges.Conduct root-cause analysis on complex debugging issues, escalating as necessary.Present technical details to clients, clarify specifications, and collaborate with vendors on component selection.Willingness to travel approximately 10% - 20% is required.- Champion Our Operating Principles: You will be expected to actively embody and uphold our ten Operating Principles, which guide our actions and decisions at Axis Automation.
