As a Principal EC&I Engineer within our established and growing Nuclear team, you will engage in an exciting variety of projects, both internationally and across the UK. This role allows you to be involved in multi-disciplinary ventures at different phases of their lifecycle, from client consultancy to full turnkey delivery. You will interact with clients, develop bids and proposals, and ensure project delivery adheres to AECOM's high standards for quality, safety, and environmental responsibility.
We seek candidates who can leverage their expertise both independently and collaboratively to enhance project outcomes for our clients. Our projects span a range of activities, from client consultancy to comprehensive turnkey solutions, often featuring electrical system design, building services, and direct consultancy services.
This position is ideal for a seasoned Principal EC&I Engineer eager to apply their skills individually or as part of a team to maximize client benefits. Our projects are inherently multi-disciplinary and cover all stages of the project lifecycle, catering to large-scale turnkey solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of EC&I design and engineering within the department, including the production of design documentation, substantiation, and review/approval of fellow engineers' work.
- Lead, mentor, and cultivate a team that can drive the growth of the EC&I business. Strong determination and networking skills are essential.
- Execute moderate portions of broader assignments under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Collect and correlate fundamental engineering data using established procedures.
- Engage in detailed or routine engineering tasks involving calculations and basic tests.
- Propose solutions to new challenges by modifying standard procedures from past assignments.
- Identify discrepancies in engineering outputs.
- Provide mentorship to entry-level engineers.
- Conduct tasks within the agreed budget and schedule, with minimal supervision.
- Independently complete all primary design elements required for engineering projects.
