We invite you to join our dynamic team as a Principal Engineer specializing in Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation (EC&I) within the innovative field of small modular reactor (SMR) nuclear power plants. In this pivotal role, you will lead and coordinate engineering projects, ensuring the integration of essential safety systems. Collaborating with diverse multidisciplinary teams, you will leverage your expertise in project management and technical planning to achieve successful project delivery that meets stringent timelines and budgetary constraints. With a robust background in EC&I and a track record of managing complex, safety-critical programs, preferably in the nuclear sector, you will be instrumental in advancing excellence in the energy sector.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Technical Programme Development: Design and oversee EC&I technical programmes throughout the product lifecycle.
- Methodical Task Planning: Execute detailed task planning while considering interdependencies with other areas.
- Collaboration and Integration: Promote effective collaboration across varied work streams to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Scope Management: Vigilantly track and adjust programme scopes as necessary.
- Resource Coordination: Identify resource needs and support the Chief Design Engineer (CDE) in devising resourcing strategies.
- Budget Management: Aid in formulating and managing budgets for EC&I initiatives.
- Financial Monitoring: Keep an eye on work pack budgets, forecasts, and actual costs against expectations.
- Risk Assessment: Proactively manage programme risks, addressing both challenges and opportunities.
- Contract Staff Oversight: Manage and optimize resources for contract personnel.
