Role Overview Kwadraad is seeking a School Social Worker for primary education in Wassenaar (24 hours per week). This position centers on supporting children and their families across eight primary schools. The role involves direct client guidance, including both parents and students, to help them navigate challenges and foster growth. In the absence of your colleague, you will take on full responsibility for School Social Work within this care structure. What the Work Looks Like Meet with parents and children to assess needs and clarify what support will help most. For example, working with families experiencing divorce or other significant changes. Suggest and facilitate individual sessions for students who need extra support processing emotions or life events. Coordinate participation in group programs, such as the KIES group for children from multiple schools. Hold intake meetings with parents and school staff (with parental consent) when concerns arise, such as student anxiety during test periods. Use these conversations to determine if short-term support or a referral for longer-term assistance is appropriate. Work closely with an internal supervisor at each school to ensure students receive the right support at the right time. Attend regular team meetings with your School Social Work (SMW) colleague to discuss cases and coordinate care across the eight schools. Collaborate with General Social Workers and participate in weekly team meetings every Tuesday, as well as intake meetings with the broader Social Team, which includes colleagues from other organizations. Location and Hours This role is based in Wassenaar, Zuid-Holland, Nederland. The position is for 24 hours per week and involves working across several primary school sites in the area.
