The Sensors Division at Systems Technology Research specializes in pioneering sensor technologies encompassing airborne and surface-based radar, electronic warfare, underwater acoustics, hyperspectral imaging, and EO/IR systems. Our work spans from component-level technology innovation to fully integrated prototype systems, showcasing our core competencies in RF hardware, signal processing, tracking and fusion, machine learning, and real-time embedded implementations.
Your Role:
As the Lead Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Engineer, you will spearhead teams on a diverse portfolio of projects aimed at elevating advanced modeling and simulation capabilities. This includes the development of RF systems, implementing capabilities, and integrating cutting-edge technologies into M&S environments. A major focus area is on creating real-time M&S capabilities coupled with hardware-in-the-loop simulations to support operational testing and evaluation efforts.
This position demands proficiency in leading multi-disciplinary teams tasked with designing and analyzing complex systems and accurately representing them in simulations. Strong technical, interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead small, multi-disciplinary teams in the design, development, integration, and testing of physics-based modeling and simulation tools for RF sensor systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between simulation models and operational requirements.
- Oversee the development of simulation architectures and frameworks to facilitate testing and evaluation processes.
- Drive innovation in simulation techniques and tools to enhance system performance evaluation.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative team environment.
