Oversee the design of RF hardware systems, directing team members in creating schematics, selecting components, and drafting specifications for items such as antennas, positioners, cables, transceiver assemblies, amplifiers, and filters. Guide the integration and testing of complete RF systems, including antennas, feeds, waveguides, positioners, processing hardware, and the software responsible for system control, waveform processing, calibration, health and status monitoring, and user interface. Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software/firmware developers, systems engineers, and test engineers to troubleshoot, identify, and resolve technical challenges. Conduct performance trade studies and analyses of proposed hardware architectures, collaborating with Systems Engineers and team leads to derive, develop, and verify requirements. Develop component and system test plans, leading testing initiatives to verify system compliance with requirements and documenting performance results. Perform over-the-air system demonstrations, assessing hardware readiness, test architecture, performance metrics, data management, operational procedures, and generating performance reports. Partner with the signal processing team to create test concepts and methodologies.
