Role overview The Senior Systems Designer joins the newly formed Design Foundations team. This group focuses on building a modular design system that supports business goals and speeds up both design and development. The team works closely with accessibility and localization experts, and partners across the company to introduce automation, AI-driven patterns, and scalable processes. In this position, you will help define how GetYourGuide designs and delivers its products. What you will do Define, maintain, and improve the design language to support consistency, efficiency, and scalability across all GetYourGuide products. Connect design, engineering, and product strategy by integrating automation, AI tools, and code-driven methods into the design system. Collaborate with Product Design, Content Design, Product Management, Engineering, Research, Data Products, and other teams to drive business outcomes. Participate in all stages of the design process: gathering requirements, ideation, concept development, validation, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and supporting implementation. Guide teams in effective use of the design system, encouraging a systems-thinking approach over isolated solutions. Identify and incorporate new trends, such as generative UI, adaptive theming, and real-time personalization, into the design system roadmap. Create visually compelling, pixel-precise designs that clearly communicate system patterns to engineers and stakeholders. Promote high standards for product design throughout the organization. Take initiative in addressing challenges and ambiguity, using a hands-on learning approach to adapt quickly and deliver results.
