Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:A minimum of 11 years of experience in Export Controls, with an Associate Degree or a Bachelor's Degree combined with at least 7 years of experience in export control practices in North America (EAR and OFAC). Extensive understanding of North American sanctions and export control legislation. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and collaborating with all organizational levels. Proven experience in designing and delivering impactful training programs. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Demonstrated internal audit proficiency. A commitment to continuous learning and staying informed about industry developments. Preferred Qualifications:Ability to independently assess information and make compliance-related decisions in line with regulations and policies. Strong skills in identifying issues, resolving inquiries, and developing appropriate solutions.

About the job

The Export Control Compliance Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic policies related to export controls and sanctions laws across the global Robert Bosch network. This position is integral to translating these policies into actionable frameworks at regional levels, serving as a key liaison between the global team and local entities.

In this position, you will be an essential member of the global Export Control Officer team, specifically overseeing compliance for the Home Comfort division and potentially other Bosch entities in the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and oversight of the regional Export Controls Officer group.
  • Develop strategic policy initiatives in alignment with current and anticipated export controls and sanctions regulations, incorporating global Bosch directives.
  • Establish and manage effective risk mitigation strategies tailored to the region.
  • Define and enforce mandatory compliance controls and checkpoints.
  • Promote ongoing improvements in standardization and operational efficiency.
  • Guide the business in adhering to all relevant policies and directives effectively.
