Qualifications
Key Requirements:A minimum of 2 years of offshore experience in ROV operations as a Pilot Technician (Sub Engineer). Relevant qualifications and/or recognized Australian technical trade certification. A documented IMCA base competency logbook is advantageous and an IMCA-based certification is preferred. Proficiency with ROV Work Class systems, particularly with XLX’s or equivalent. Possession of OGUK Medical and BOSIET CAEBS certifications is mandatory. Current MSIC holder. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities. A strong service-oriented mindset, enthusiasm, and a solutions-focused approach. DOF Australia is seeking ROV Sub Engineers to support offshore operations aboard vessels in the APAC region. This remote role is based out of Perth, Western Australia.
Role overview
ROV Sub Engineers work closely with the ROV team to manage the operation, maintenance, and administration of remotely operated vehicle (ROV) systems. The position covers responsibility for associated tooling, sensors, and spars, all under the guidance of the ROV Supervisor.
What you will do
- Collaborate with the offshore ROV team to ensure smooth operation of ROV systems
- Maintain and administer ROV equipment, including tooling and sensors
- Work under the mentorship of the ROV Supervisor
