What You Will Do Carry out advanced break-fix and preventative maintenance on Siemens automation and control systems. Tasks include diagnosing faults, disassembling equipment, inspecting components, and handling repairs or replacements. Test electrical circuits and mechanical systems thoroughly. Recondition machine tools as needed. Source and procure parts and supplies, considering alternatives to improve equipment reliability and control costs. Develop retrofit and upgrade packages to expand equipment capability. Follow industry standards for maintenance. Create guidelines for new or modified manufacturing equipment. Advise client teams on maintenance strategies, reliability improvements, and preventative maintenance protocols. Operate machining tools such as lathes and drill presses to fabricate or repair parts. May perform welding when required. Comply with customer contractor codes of conduct, safety policies, and housekeeping requirements. Maintain thorough service reports and records on equipment performance and observations. Compile technical manuals and maintenance procedures for upgrades and automation projects. Mentor junior technicians and provide leadership within project teams, supporting training and skill development. Troubleshoot and analyze complex control systems to resolve advanced software and hardware configuration issues.
