ResponsibilitiesTIG weld stainless, carbon, and specialty alloys; prepare joints, fit-up, and execute clean, repeatable welds. Fabricate brackets, frames, enclosures, and fixtures from blueprints, involving cutting, bending, drilling, tapping, and finishing. Operate various machine shop tools (mills, lathes, drill presses, bandsaws, grinders) for basic machining and rework tasks. Assemble mechanical and pneumatic subsystems including flanges, seals, valves, fittings, sensors, and wiring harnesses. Interpret and annotate technical drawings; maintain tolerances; verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Follow standard operating procedures for assembly, inspection, leak checks, and pressure tests; document all work accordingly. Assist in prototype builds and troubleshooting on the shop floor; implement quick fixes and continuous improvements. Keep a clean, organized work environment; enforce safety protocols for hot work, lifting, rigging, and handling compressed gases. QualificationsEssential Skills and ExperienceDemonstrated TIG welding proficiency on thin sheet and tube, preferably stainless; strong fit-up and finishing skills.
