Key QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance and operational roles within mission-critical data centers, trading floors, or similar 24/7 environments. Knowledgeable in MEP disciplines including plant infrastructure, CRACs, UPSs, office HVAC systems, generators, fire prevention systems, and building management systems. Proficient in computer skills; comfortable working alongside technical staff in an IT-centric environment and eager to learn new software and control systems. Able to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of colleagues across various business sectors, including non-engineers. Superior written and verbal communication skills; capable of articulating complex problems concisely and accurately. Able to independently address minor issues in the field without reliance on a tradesperson. Available to participate in an on-call rotation for nights and weekends to address critical system emergencies promptly. A creative, collaborative, and enthusiastic team player eager to learn and take initiative. Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Fluent in English; proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin is an asset.

About the Role

Jane Street is seeking a skilled Facilities Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team dedicated to the upkeep and management of our vital physical infrastructure. This role encompasses the maintenance of our trading floors, amenity areas, and food service facilities, all supported by specialized mechanical, electrical, and IT systems.

Our collaborative team works closely with various internal departments, external vendors, contractors, consultants, and operations teams. You will manage projects relating to all facets of our physical infrastructure while nurturing relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the provision of critical infrastructure around the clock.

The ideal candidate will be professionally trained in electrical, mechanical, or building services engineering or possess equivalent experience in facilities management. Additionally, familiarity with managing facilities maintenance service level agreements (SLAs) is essential to uphold industry standards.
