Essential Skills and Experience:Proficient in the use of hand and power tools. Experience with precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices. Background in routine maintenance tasks. Knowledge of plumbing repairs for facilities. Experience in troubleshooting electrical issues. Familiarity with saw usage. Metal fabrication experience. Ability to evaluate facts and draw conclusions. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with employees at all organizational levels. Education Requirements:High School diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 3 years of proven maintenance experience. General understanding of manufacturing processes. Basic math skills for calculations such as addition and subtraction.

Compensation: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour based on experience

Position Overview:

As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection of various equipment and performing basic repairs or preventive maintenance as required. Your proficiency with hand and power tools, coupled with your ability to read blueprints and repair manuals, will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment.
  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Perform basic repairs and maintenance on equipment and facilities.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and implement corrections.
  • Conduct electrical tests, analyze results, and resolve electrical problems.
  • Construct shop tables, jigs, tooling, and machinery using general shop tools.
  • Interpret blueprints and repair manuals.
  • Supervise contractors for professional repairs when necessary.
  • Build crates for shipping products or equipment.
  • Work at heights using ladders and scissor lifts for electrical and plumbing tasks as well as facility repairs.
  • Schedule contractors for repairs beyond the scope of the Non-production team, including obtaining quotes.
  • Maintain company vehicles, including transporting them to external auto shops for repairs.
  • Utilize necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) for the work environment.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as required by business needs — overtime may be necessary.
