Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.3 to 5 years of experience in thermal or fluid systems, particularly in data-center cooling, HVAC, or similar domains. Proficiency with pumps, valves, filters, sensors, coolant chemistries, and reliability testing methods. Strong understanding of liquid cooling systems (cold plates, CDUs, manifolds, pumps) and manufacturing techniques. Demonstrated project management skills with a proven track record of driving projects to completion. Experience providing on-site technical support and managing RMAs effectively. Adaptable and team-oriented, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. Strong communication skills for discussing technical topics with customers, including design-for-manufacturing considerations. Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD 3D, Pro/E, and SolidWorks. Excellent cross-departmental communication and collaboration skills.

Join our dynamic team as a Field Application Engineer in our Hoofddorp office, specializing in cutting-edge liquid-cooling solutions. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring customer-facing technical success, guiding our innovative products from initial qualification to large-scale deployment. You will take the lead in design-in processes, validation, and provide on-site support while collaborating closely with Sales, Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Leadership: Strategically plan and track milestones, manage risks, and drive cross-functional execution from design-in to production.
  2. Customer Technical Engagement: Gather requirements, navigate trade-offs, ensure specifications are met, and provide architectural support.
  3. Validation & Quality Assurance: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans (pressure, leak, flow, thermal, vibration); document findings and resolve issues.
  4. On-site Technical Support: Prioritize and optimize performance at customer data centers and facilities.
  5. RMA Management: Provide initial response, conduct on-site fault isolation, coordinate failure analysis with the factory, and implement corrective actions.
  6. Manufacturing and Process Collaboration: Possess a solid understanding of liquid-cooling manufacturing processes (brazing, welding, testing) and work hand-in-hand with the manufacturing team to maintain quality and output.
  7. Market & Roadmap Input: Transform customer insights and market trends into product requirements and quality objectives.
