Role Summary

As a Field Commissioning Engineer, you will be instrumental in bringing Exotec's robotics and automation systems to life at various client warehouses. This high-travel role typically involves being on-site for three weeks per month, making it ideal for those passionate about solving real-world engineering challenges.

Engage hands-on with robotics, hardware, software, programming tools, and third-party industrial equipment, rapidly gaining diverse technical experience. Unlike many traditional engineering roles, you will actively design and refine test plans, rather than merely executing them. Your work will be dynamic, collaborative, and crucial to the success of system launches.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the integration of Exotec products and third-party systems in customer warehouses, distribution centers, and fulfillment sites.
  • Participate actively in the commissioning process to ensure the functionality and reliability of the systems.
  • Plan, coordinate, and carry out system validation tests, including defining and refining test plans.
  • Assess, enhance, and maintain the reliability of the complete solution throughout deployment phases.
  • Coordinate and implement software configurations and enhancements for deployed systems.
  • Troubleshoot across software, mechanical, electrical, and networking layers.
  • Engage directly with customers to identify and fulfill their needs and requirements.
  • Provide regular updates and documentation through Exotec’s internal tools, collaborating with the Atlanta-based team.
  • Support on-site interactions with clients, effectively managing challenging or time-sensitive situations.
  • Inform operational teams about project progress and potential risks.
