Position Summary

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Field Services HVAC Technician to join our team in support of Butterfly, an energy management client committed to minimizing energy consumption in retail and restaurant environments. This is a mobile role focused on light maintenance, inspections, and energy audits of rooftop HVAC units (RTUs) and other systems within a two-hour driving radius of Washington, DC. Technicians will return home each night and will be provided with a company vehicle, tools, uniform, and fuel card.

Key Responsibilities

·       Conduct thorough inspections and perform light maintenance on rooftop HVAC units (RTUs), typically ranging from 5 to 20 tons.
·       Execute energy audits utilizing metering devices and complete Butterfly’s reporting worksheets.
·       Change filters, clean coils, clear drainage, and perform minor repairs such as belt and economizer replacements.
·       Troubleshoot HVAC issues and compile detailed findings for contractors to address.
·       Identify and suggest opportunities for enhancing energy efficiency (e.g., LED upgrades).
·       Coordinate and confirm contractor repairs while ensuring functionality post-repair.
·       Maintain precise work orders and documentation.
·       Adhere to ABM and client safety protocols and regulations.

Technical Scope

·       HVAC (70%): Involves commercial/light commercial systems, including RTUs, split systems, and mini-splits.
·       Electrical (20%): Basic knowledge of electrical distribution, including 277V single-phase and 480V three-phase systems.
