Minimum of 1 year of experience in commissioning robotic systems and/or equipment, preferably in the industrial automation, materials handling, warehousing, or logistics sectors. Post-secondary education or certification in mechatronics, robotics, mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field is a significant advantage. Willingness to travel up to 100% of working hours, both domestically and internationally, to client sites across North America.

Role Overview

As a Field Installation & Commissioning Technician, you will be the driving force behind bringing Exotec's innovative robotic systems to life. Your hands-on expertise will ensure that these systems are operational, safe, and dependable. Within our Deployment team, you will have the opportunity to travel across North America, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in implementing and testing state-of-the-art automation systems. This position is ideal for early-career technicians eager to enter the fields of robotics or industrial automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute commissioning and verification tests for Exotec’s robotic systems and components on-site.
  • Conduct flow and performance assessments to guarantee system reliability, efficiency, and throughput.
  • Troubleshoot and document any issues affecting system functionality, safety, or performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to fine-tune calibrations and adjustments to meet operational specifications.
  • Partner with installation teams to assist in on-site setups as needed.
  • Provide status updates to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Document observations, offer feedback to Deployment engineers, and contribute to system enhancements.
