Role Overview

The Field Service Engineer in Mountain View, CA, plays a key role in maintaining and supporting one of the world’s most advanced humanoid robots. This person manages the overall health of the robotic platform, tackling complex system integrations and resolving networking or software issues when standard repairs fall short. As the technical representative for Global Support Services (GSS), the Field Service Engineer helps customers navigate high-pressure situations with clear communication and technical expertise.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maximize Solution Availability: Perform advanced Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for issues impacting fleet uptime, including networking, software, and integration faults.
  • Technical Liaison: Act as the primary technical contact for customer leadership, providing steady guidance and ensuring customer satisfaction during troubleshooting and resolution.
  • System Validation: Confirm that all repairs and deployments meet Apptronik’s standards before returning robots to customer use.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Engineering, Product, and other internal teams to share insights and feedback from the field.
