As a Field Service Technician (FST) at Evolv Technology, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful deployment of our life-saving products. You will be instrumental in assisting our services team with product demonstrations, installations, and providing essential maintenance, upgrades, and repairs to existing field units.
Success Metrics: What to Aim for in Your First Year
In Your First Month, You Will:
- Embark on technical training for Evolv Express products, tools, equipment, and software to be utilized in the field.
- Shadow a seasoned field service engineer to gain insights into their expertise and familiarize yourself with the common tasks and challenges.
- Establish rapport with customers, assess their requirements, and respond to their inquiries and concerns.
- Start executing foundational field service tasks such as equipment installation, maintenance, repairs, and documentation of your work in service reports.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing projects, share best practices, and receive constructive feedback from your manager.
- Familiarize yourself with internal processes like inventory management, invoicing, and scheduling to enhance your effectiveness.
Within 3 Months, You Will:
- Take proactive steps in both group and independent scenarios to ensure success for Evolv, yourself, and our customers.
- Build strong relationships with teammates, sales executives, customer success managers, and other members of Evolv’s revenue team.
- Achieve a solid understanding of the technical specifications of Evolv products.
- Foster excellent rapport with our clients and leave a lasting impression.
- Independently resolve 2-5 technical issues.
- Embrace increased responsibilities as you advance in your role.
- Complete all necessary administrative tasks, including managing expenses, work orders, and RMAs.
By the End of Your First Year, You Will:
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the Evolv Express system and software.
- Lead 2-4 special event support initiatives at strategic locations such as sports stadiums and other venues.
