Overview
OWL Services is on the lookout for a dedicated Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair essential electro-mechanical equipment in various client locations. This role is perfect for a mechanically skilled, safety-oriented individual who thrives on troubleshooting and independent work.
As our technician, you will be the frontline of our service operations, ensuring that critical systems, including POS equipment, alarms, and security devices, function seamlessly across all sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, inspect, repair, and replace electro-mechanical equipment as needed.
- Service devices, including cash registers, coin changers, alarms, and POS systems.
- Identify equipment issues and provide effective solutions.
- Complete service requests and maintenance tasks promptly and professionally.
- Review work orders, manuals, and technical schematics.
- Use testing devices, hand tools, and power tools efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company procedures.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
- Travel 30–40% overnight, including assistance for installations and upgrades.
- Maintain accurate documentation through company systems and mobile devices.
Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to work independently while demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety standards.
- Willingness to join a 24/7 on-call rotation.
- Availability for 30–40% overnight travel.
- Clean driving record.
- Proficient in using computers and smartphones.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Verifone and NCR.
- Experience with alarm systems.
- Background in troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical devices.
- Proficiency in handling service requests efficiently and professionally.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, manuals, and technical diagrams.
- Experience with testing devices and hand/power tools.
- Willingness to support installations and upgrades in different regions.
