As a Field Technical Support Engineer, you will be instrumental in diagnosing and resolving intricate automotive issues, serving as a pivotal technical resource for challenging vehicle repair cases. This position demands a robust understanding of vehicle diagnostics, electrical systems, electronic systems, and electrified vehicles, along with the ability to independently analyze problems and drive continuous improvement in aftersales operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert-level diagnostics to facilitate precise and timely vehicle repairs.
- Document and report technical issues detected in vehicles and diagnostic tools.
- Assess support cases regarding customer complaints, prior repairs, warranty history, and software status.
- Conduct technical investigations and follow-ups to bolster aftersales operations.
- Resolve complex or critical repair scenarios through thorough investigation and testing.
- Perform root cause analysis, documenting findings and corrective measures.
- Assist in vehicle fire and collision investigations as necessary.
- Spot opportunities for process improvement and suggest innovative technical solutions.
- Engage professionally with technical teams and stakeholders, representing the brand with technical authority.
