Bobyard is seeking its first Finance Lead in San Francisco. This role will shape the company’s financial structure and play a central part in strategic planning and decision-making. Working closely with the CEO and leadership, the Finance Lead will help set the foundation for growth, guide resource allocation, and provide the financial insights needed to support the company’s next phase.
Role overview
This position focuses on building and maintaining the core financial systems at Bobyard. The Finance Lead will work hands-on across business functions, translating uncertainty into clear, actionable financial guidance. The scope includes financial modeling, scenario planning, and establishing key performance metrics to support company-wide decisions.
What you will do
- Financial Planning & Strategy: Lead financial planning efforts, manage runway and cash burn, and forecast hiring needs. Build and maintain financial models to inform business decisions. Drive scenario planning and resource allocation. Partner with leadership to define strategy and evaluate trade-offs.
- Business & Product Modeling: Analyze and model new product lines, pricing, and revenue streams. Translate product and go-to-market strategies into financial outcomes. Identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities across the organization.
- Fundraising & Strategic Finance: Prepare for Series B fundraising by developing models, metrics, and presentation materials. Support investor conversations with clear financial narratives. Prepare board materials and executive reports. Establish and standardize company metrics such as ARR, CAC, LTV, and burn efficiency.
- Revenue Operations (Quote-to-Cash): Work with sales and operations to improve billing, pricing, and collections. Design and scale quote-to-cash systems. Ensure accuracy and transparency throughout the revenue process.
