Global experience dealing with accounting and bookkeeping across various regions including the US, Europe, and Asia. Management of the bookkeeping function, including maintaining the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Familiarity with US GAAP and global accounting practices. Ability to develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports per generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Participation in the development of internal financial and accounting policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures. Meet all statutory requirements, focusing on income tax compliance and securing financial information in accordance with current legislation. Prepare supporting documentation for annual audits and liaise with external auditors as needed. Establish and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash, ensuring all transactions are properly supported and authorized.

Collaborate closely with studio heads and department leaders to deliver precise financial insights that drive our organizational growth and align with our strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively manage both personnel and financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete cycle of accounting activities, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Guarantee statutory compliance encompassing income tax and regulatory reporting, while coordinating audits with external auditors.
  • Develop and implement internal financial policies and procedures, ensuring organizational adherence.
  • Manage cash flow, forecasts, and capital asset accounting.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members while fostering collaborative relationships across departments.
  • Partner with FP&A teams to facilitate budgeting and financial planning initiatives.
