Role overview
The Finance & Operations Associate partners directly with Flexion’s leadership to strengthen financial and operational systems. This hands-on role is key to supporting growth, especially as the company expands into the US. The position covers a wide range of responsibilities, from financial modeling and process design to supporting fundraising and managing vendor relationships. It suits someone eager to turn strategy into action and help operational excellence drive company expansion.
What you will do
- Financial planning and analysis: Build and maintain multi-year financial models, prepare monthly budget versus actuals, monitor burn rates, and develop cash flow forecasts for leadership.
- Cost control and budget management: Oversee departmental spending, identify cost savings, track budget variances, and collaborate with teams to align expenditures with company goals.
- Fundraising support: Prepare investor materials including financial models, data rooms, and board presentations. Support the CFO and leadership through the Series B fundraising process.
- Operational process design: Develop and scale financial operations such as accounts payable and receivable, monthly closings, expense management, vendor negotiations, and compliance workflows for both Swiss and US entities.
- Inventory and order tracking: Manage procurement for robots, hardware, and equipment. Oversee order tracking, deliveries, and inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.
- Legal operations: Handle daily legal tasks including NDA reviews, contract tracking, vendor agreement coordination, and communication with external legal counsel on routine matters.
- Business partnership: Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Leadership teams to provide insights, identify strategic opportunities, and support expansion plans.
