About the job

As a Financial Controller, you are pivotal in managing costs, data, and processes within our dynamic organization. Collaborating closely with the Finance Manager of Accounting & Control, you will play an essential role in our transformation journey. This position offers significant opportunities for improvement and personal accountability.

Your responsibilities will blend control work with process and systems enhancement. You will be hands-on when necessary and analytical when required, establishing a robust financial foundation that supports our organization's growth and your development towards a broader controller role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Finance Manager in steering the organization’s financial operations and reporting, including the Belgian entity.
  • Focus initially on cost controlling, analyzing, monitoring, and optimizing business, personnel, and fleet costs.
  • Ensure accurate processing of financial transactions while maintaining the quality of balance sheets and intercompany accounts.
  • Conduct periodic internal controls, including reconciliations and substantiations of balance sheet items.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for management and the board, ensuring the figures are accurate and insightful.
  • Assist in preparing the annual accounts, compile the balance sheet file, and facilitate the audit process.
  • Ensure compliance with fiscal and financial legislation and internal policies.
  • Support VAT, ICP, and Intrastat reporting.
  • Engage with master data to enhance the organization’s financial integrity, promoting data-driven operations.
  • Take an active part in centralizing administrative functions while ensuring uniformity and consistency in processes.
  • Initiate and implement improvements in financial processes and systems, with a focus on efficiency, reliability, and digitalization.
