Join modern-ai, a pioneering growth strategy and performance marketing partner, as we support consumer brands in scaling their digital presence. We are currently looking for a data-driven, strategic, and entrepreneurial FP&A Analyst to become a vital member of our Strategy and Finance teams, directly collaborating with our Chief Strategy Officer.
This impactful position is tailored for someone who excels at the crossroads of finance, growth strategy, and compelling storytelling. Your analytical skills will be crucial in transforming raw data into clear, actionable insights that will drive client partnerships and enhance our internal forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Diligence & Forecasting
- Assess financial and performance metrics of potential clients in sectors such as eCommerce, retail, and direct-to-consumer.
- Create dynamic financial models to project ROI, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), media efficiency, and scalability.
- Collaborate with the Sales Team to develop compelling deal proposals that aid in acquiring new clients and improving closure rates.
- Work alongside Growth, Creative, and Marketing teams to synchronize assumptions with campaign strategies.
2. Client Performance Monitoring
- Manage and update “Budget vs. Actual” tracking models for current clients.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs), paid media expenditures, revenue goals, and contribution margins.
- Identify early signs of underperformance and assist the strategy team with suggesting corrective actions.
- Examine seasonal trends, marketing mix effectiveness, and cohort behavior across various channels.
3. Internal Agency Forecasting
- Integrate client-level forecasts into a comprehensive agency revenue and margin model.
- Collaborate with the Chief Strategy Officer and finance team to monitor how client budgets affect modern-ai’s internal profit and loss.
- Facilitate capacity planning and hiring strategies based on client pipelines and budget fluctuations.
- Proactively pinpoint risks and opportunities within the client portfolio.
