Technical Responsibilities:Build, configure, and deploy firewall rules on Palo Alto platforms. Develop and implement IPv6 interfaces on firewall devices. Validate, monitor, and troubleshoot firewall traffic to ensure optimal network performance and security. Implement IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack networking solutions across enterprise environments. Utilize Palo Alto Panorama for centralized management and deployment of firewall configurations and rulesets. Preferred Qualifications:Experience in secured or regulated IT environments. Familiarity with enterprise network security practices supporting government or DOE facilities.

Role overview

The Firewall Engineer will configure and manage dual-stack IPv4/IPv6 environments using Palo Alto firewalls. This includes developing IPv6 firewall rulesets within Palo Alto Panorama and deploying these rules across the enterprise. The rulesets are designed to mirror existing IPv4 configurations to ensure network security, operational continuity, and regulatory compliance.
