About the job

Join Neko Health as a Firmware Engineer

Neko Health is pioneering a transformation in healthcare by emphasizing prevention over treatment. Utilizing cutting-edge, non-invasive technology and expert clinical insights, we aim to provide early and actionable health insights.

Founded in 2018 by Hjalmar Nilsonne and Daniel Ek, Neko Health is a Swedish healthcare technology company dedicated to reimagining the patient experience. Our vision is to enhance preventative health measures and facilitate early detection using state-of-the-art sensors and artificial intelligence.

We have created an innovative medical scanning technology that enables broad, non-invasive health data collection at an accessible cost. Operating from Stockholm, we also provide the Neko Body Scan experience in London and Manchester, with a workforce exceeding 500 skilled professionals.

Our mission is to develop medical devices that empower large-scale preventative healthcare. This involves designing our hardware, firmware, and software end-to-end, ensuring seamless operation in our clinics daily.

We are currently seeking a talented Firmware Engineer to enhance our Hardware & Firmware team in Stockholm. This position is ideal for those who are hands-on, enjoy working closely with hardware, tackle challenging systems problems, and take ownership from initial product development to deployment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop embedded Linux firmware, including bring-up, device drivers, platform features, and diagnostics.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware components like cameras and radar sensors.
  • Write efficient low-level code using C and C++.
  • Debug and identify the root causes of complex hardware and software issues.
  • Optimize systems for peak performance, reliability, and efficient resource utilization.
  • Work alongside electronics, systems, and software teams from concept through to production.
  • Engage in prototyping, experimentation, and hands-on testing; we encourage engineers to build and test as well as design.
