Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Proven hands-on experience in firmware QA/testing, ideally in a regulated or industrial environment. In-depth knowledge of test frameworks such as Google Test, Robot Framework, Unity (for C), or PyTest. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.) for automation purposes. Experience with embedded systems, RTOS, device drivers, and communication interfaces. Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG debuggers. Knowledge of SCADA, PLC, or industrial communication protocols is a plus. Exceptional problem-solving and debugging capabilities.

We are looking for a skilled professional with extensive hands-on experience in test frameworks and embedded systems to ensure the quality and reliability of our firmware solutions. This pivotal role focuses on validating firmware utilized in field instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and control devices within the Oil & Gas sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated and manual test cases for embedded firmware tailored for Oil & Gas equipment.
  • Develop and uphold test frameworks for regression, functional, integration, and system-level testing.
  • Conduct hands-on testing of devices, which includes sensor calibration validation, real-time data acquisition, and communication protocols such as Modbus, CAN, HART, and RS485.
  • Analyze testing outcomes, document defects, and collaborate with development teams for effective root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Ensure that firmware complies with safety, reliability, and regulatory standards (API, ISO, IEC, etc.).
  • Assist in formulating and executing hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish test strategies, traceability matrices, and quality metrics.
  • Support field deployment teams in troubleshooting firmware-related issues under practical conditions.
