Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with operations and pilot teams to define the capabilities and requirements of the guidance system. Design features of the guidance system to ensure compatibility with flight control systems and pilot displays. Develop and implement flight guidance algorithms for both simulation and flight software. Analyze and reduce data from simulations, lab tests, and flight tests. Assess the performance and behavior of the guidance system through simulation, hardware-in-loop, and flight test cases. Basic Success CriteriaBS in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related advanced degree. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in developing guidance or motion planning algorithms for real-time vehicle systems. Proficient in C/C++ and Python programming languages. Exceptional communication skills to convey system behavior effectively to end users. Preferred CriteriaMS or PhD in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a similar advanced field. Technical proficiency in areas such as motion planning, control systems, probability theory, or optimization. Experience in developing software for safety-critical applications. Familiarity with Flight Management System certification processes. Current pilot license with instrument or commercial rating.
