Role Overview: Flight Test Engineer – Discovery

The Flight Test Engineer joins the Test and Evaluation team, supporting the Discovery business line across several programs. This role works closely with program leadership, partner companies, and government stakeholders. The Test Engineering group handles comprehensive product testing, including platforms like Lattice Ghost UAS, Sentry Tower, and various counter-UAS systems. Testing spans from system-level evaluation to new aircraft development and sub-component qualification.

What You Will Do

  • Independently develop and implement strategies to meet Test and Evaluation (T&E) objectives, guiding test execution.
  • Plan and conduct system-level testing for both hardware and software, including resource planning, ground and flight tests, process improvements, and technical test plan development.
  • Lead test execution at private and government-owned test ranges.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to review and analyze test results, including data and observations from test activities.
  • Perform initial analysis of test data for evaluated systems.
  • Follow safety protocols and established operational procedures during all testing.
