What You’ll Do:
- Contribute to the design, fabrication, testing, and certification phases of Archer's piloted eVTOL aircraft.
- Develop Electrical Installation Designs for all Flight Test Instrumentation hardware in flight test aircraft.
- Assist in planning installations and coordinate with manufacturing for flight test instrumentation integration on test aircraft.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address instrumentation and measurement challenges.
- Serve as a principal advisor to the Instrumentation Director on all electrical design activities related to aircraft instrumentation.
- Create processes and documentation to facilitate the installation and maintenance of flight test instrumentation.
- Partner with Flight Test Engineering and Certification Teams to execute all necessary flight test activities for development and certification.
- Work with engineering design and analysis teams to develop a comprehensive instrumentation plan, including monitoring of strain, temperature, vibration, pressure, air data, and environmental control systems.
- Design all necessary hardware for flight testing, including instrumentation racks, air data booms, aircrew interfaces, workstations, camera and telemetry systems.
- Support instrumentation technicians and the Aircraft Operations Team in implementing instrumentation designs.
- Ensure that all flight test instrumentation tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.
