This is a remarkable opportunity for an experienced Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to become a vital part of our client's dynamic Flood Risk and Drainage team based in Perth.

Our client stands as a prominent international multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy, dedicated to providing innovative and sustainable solutions tailored to meet the planning, engineering design, and project delivery requirements across the property, infrastructure, energy, and environmental sectors.

In response to ongoing business growth, we are seeking a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to augment our expanding team in Perth. This position offers a diverse and stimulating project portfolio, presenting a unique chance to contribute to a team leading the charge in Civil Engineering within Scotland, delivering impactful projects across various sectors.

Qualifications / Experience Required:

• Degree in a relevant field (Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Water/Wastewater Management) or equivalent qualification.
• 3 to 5 years of experience within the engineering sector.
• Graduate membership with a recognized professional body (e.g., ICE, CIWEM).
• Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, HecRas).
• Strong understanding of general Civil Engineering principles, including road and level design.
• Familiarity with relevant Legislation, Policies, and Design Standards.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies for a range of projects in both public and private sectors.
• Conduct Hydrological Assessments to analyze watercourse flows and catchment runoff.
• Collaborate with the team to perform hydraulic flood modeling supporting flood risk studies.
• Prepare drainage impact assessments and comprehensive drainage strategies.
• Contribute to drainage network modeling (utilizing Micro Drainage).
• Conduct site visits and supervise surveys (both greenfield and construction sites).
• Coordinate and scope topographic surveys.
• Compile and analyze data.
• Prepare detailed reports.
• Engage with regulators and statutory consultees throughout the consultation process.
• Liaise effectively with clients, colleagues, and regulatory bodies.
